Why We Built This Site
Court information is useful only after the record keeper and the needed product are identified. Utah Third District Court handles Summit County felonies, Class A misdemeanors, and most district civil matters. Summit County Justice Court receives the limited criminal tiers, traffic cases, infractions, and assigned small claims. Juvenile records follow a separate access scheme, while federal cases use PACER instead of Utah Xchange. This resource arranges official calendars, search routes, clerk contacts, case-number guidance, and request instructions around those firm boundaries.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Summit County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Utah court, clerk, or government agency. Its role is limited:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes that appear on some content pages. Each provider controls its service, results, privacy terms, and prices. A purchase or signup reached through a partner tool may generate a referral payment that helps fund this resource. The provider, not Summit County Court Docket, determines its charges and returned information.
